all politicians are the same. it's ignorant to think democrats are any different. you can take the most moral person and by the time they get through the political wringer, they are all the same: manipulated by corporations and a form of government that's meant for small scale use.
"Until philosophers are kings, or the kings and princes of this world have the spirit and power of philosophy, and political greatness and wisdom meet in one, and those commoner natures who pursue either to the exclusion of the other are compelled to stand aside, cities will never have rest from their evils - no, nor the human race, as I believe - and then only will this our State have a possibility of life and behold the light of day." ~Plato
I know it seems that all who run for political office, are all the same, bought & paid for corporate puppets. However I’m just not ready to give up on the democratic process. The anti-democratic operation that is the Clinton slime machine is nothing but more of the same.
I believe after listening to Obama last night in North Carolina, if this nation is to remain free, democratic & faithful to constitution; we’ve a better chance of survival with Obama in the oval office. Thankfully Obama has been “through the political wringer” considerably less than the two neo-cons running for office. So just maybe & I think he does-- he still has some of his soul intact. Bottom line is democracy always demands participation of, & by those it’s designed to serve & protect. We must not abdicate our responsibility as citizens of a democratic republic.

Liberalism is trust of the people tempered by prudence. Conservatism is distrust of the people tempered by fear.
