Shoutboard

My life was wrapped around the circus.

Her name was Lydia.

I met her at the world’s fair in 1900,

marked down from 1940.

Ah, Lydia.

She was the most glorious creature

Under the su-un.

Hello world, how's everyone doing?

People have been asking what's up with all the flower pix latey?
As most of you know I usually shoot fashion & narrative work, & the flowers for me just provide some contrast. Besides who wants the same pudding everynight? :) I also like the abstract aspect to flowers. Contrast is a great way to measure where you've been in terms of your creative work. I use it like navigation beacons. I also made the floral pix available as prints. I thought maybe I'd help people get da subs who really wanted them-- through the sales of the flower pieces.

The new image I up-loaded today "Turn out the stars" is actually from a few weeks ago. I know the time stamp is something crazy like 2003?--- I was too lazy to reset it when I put new batteries in.

I shot it with a Fuji S7000. I use it like a polaroid for quick test shots. This particular image turned out rather well I thought, so I wanted to share it here on da. It reminds me of the early Vogue Fashion Shoots by Horst. Check out my website to see my newest work at: bearzimages.com---> [link]

So can you smell what The Mac is cooking?

The three presidential candidates recently appeared on WWE's (World Wrestling Entertainment) Show Monday Night Raw. Evidentally it's some moronic wrestling show, the kind that appeals to 12 year olds, & everyone else in Alabama. [link]

John (Grandpa) McCain (R) candidate. You know the Vietnam pilot who crashed more than five planes while murdering untold thousands from the air. McCain asked: "So can you smell what The Mac is cooking?"

Isn't that smell just residual napalm leaking out his sphincter?

Imagine this is what it's come to here in the USA. It's essentially the equivalent of going to a public execution to campaign. Which reminds me did anyone see the pope on TV while he was here in the states? Wasn't it creepy when they showed him kissing a baby--I wonder how many pints of blood the pope sucked from his neck?

Incidentally here's a rather scary story. Fringe GOP candidate spends Hitler's birthday with neo-Nazis (Could this be the distilled essence of the Republican party?) Article here: [link]

In conclusion it'd seem only nuts, psycho's & failed business people seek out political positions. I'm curious for those in the States, are you actually planning on voting for one of these folks?

How to Be a Good Republican

Journal Entry: Mon Apr 21, 2008, 7:16 PM

US Deaths in Iraq since March 20th, 2003

I thought perhaps some of you might enjoy this.

Ann Richards on How to Be a Good Republican:

1. You have to believe that the nation's current 8-year prosperity was due to the work of Ronald Reagan and George Bush, but yesterday's gasoline prices are all Clinton's fault.

2. You have to believe that those privileged from birth achieve success all on their own.

3. You have to be against all government programs, but expect Social Security checks on time.

4. You have to believe that AIDS victims deserve their disease, but smokers with lung cancer and overweight individuals with heart disease don't deserve theirs.

5. You have to appreciate the power rush that comes with sporting a gun.

6. You have to believe...everything Rush Limbaugh says.

7. You have to believe that the agricultural, restaurant, housing and hotel industries can survive without immigrant labor.

8. You have to believe God hates homosexuality, but loves the death penalty.

9. You have to believe society is color-blind and growing up black in America doesn't diminish your opportunities, but you still won't vote for Alan Keyes.

10. You have to believe that pollution is OK as long as it makes a profit.

11. You have to believe in prayer in schools, as long as you don't pray to Allah or Buddha.

12. You have to believe Newt Gingrich and Henry Hyde were really faithful husbands.

13. You have to believe speaking a few Spanish phrases makes you instantly popular in the barrio.

14. You have to believe that only your own teenagers are still virgins.

15. You have to be against government interference in business, until your oil company, corporation or Savings and Loan is about to go broke and you beg for a government bail out.

16. You love Jesus and Jesus loves you and, by the way, Jesus shares your hatred for AIDS victims, homosexuals, and President Clinton.

17. You have to believe government has nothing to do with providing police protection, national defense, and building roads.

18. You have to believe a poor, minority student with a disciplinary history and failing grades will be admitted into an elite private school with a $1,000 voucher.

Photographers the new "Commie?"

Journal Entry: Thu Apr 17, 2008, 11:10 AM

Article from the BBC:--> Innocent photographer or terrorist? link: [link]

It'd appear as though photographers are the new Communists?

The "terrorist" hysteria these days is every where, like those phantom communists hiding behind everyone's bushes n the 50's. It's all too convenient to label & equate something as "terrorist" all in effort to garner public support by those who are in fear of being exposed for some genuine wrong doing.

We as a species must refuse to live in an age of fear. If one is clearly in violation of local laws or putting lives in danger for a snap then it's stupidity, ignorance & selfishness at best. Terrorism is not a catch all term for distasteful or disagreeable behavior. We must not be driven into an age of unreason by those who'd be all too willing to think for you & save you from freedom.

Interesting when millions of cameras are aimed at the citizenry, that citizens aren't free to practice their art. Could it be the "official watchers" don't want exposure...?

We skipped the light fandango

Journal Entry: Tue Apr 15, 2008, 1:11 AM

US Deaths in Iraq since March 20th, 2003

We skipped the light fandango
turned cartwheels 'cross the floor
I was feeling kinda seasick
but the crowd called out for more
The room was humming harder
as the ceiling flew away
When we called out for another drink
the waiter brought a tray

And so it was that later
as the miller told his tale
that her face, at first just ghostly,
turned a whiter shade of pale...

What ever you do, if you plan on skipping the light fandango, make certain your shoe laces are tied :)
